| The Renovated Strmol Manor Today |
According to a conservation programme whose aim was a comprehensive presentation of the manor as a cultural monument, the manor house was given a new appearance and interesting functions in 2003 after eight years of hard work by many experts participating in its renovation, which was supported by the Rogatec Municipality, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia and two private investors.

The Strmol Manor, along with the park and adjacent buildings, was declared a cultural monument and entered in the Slovene Cultural Heritage Registry. It is now the property of the Municipality of Rogatec. The original Renaissance structure and vaults, and the subsequent influences of the Baroque, blend in a magnificent interior and an attractively painted exterior, placing it among the most significant feudal buildings in Slovenia.

The attractive bluish-grey painted decoration of the building's exterior dates from the late Renaissance or early Baroque period. Its remains were discovered during the examination of the external plastering. The carefully reconstructed painted decoration gives a distinctly picturesque appearance to the hilltop castle complex.

The former castle park extends to the west and north of the manor.
